Parenthood.

Sometimes, I have an obsessive personality.  I really like learning, and if I find a subject that peaks my interest, I will research it for days.  I love finding all different types of opinions and statistics and weighing everything together.  It could be about anything…politics, womens history, geography, movies, gardening, homeschooling, you name it.  I know… Im a freak.  However, I also can become obsessive about mundane things like television.  I am not exaggerating to make this sound better when I say that I have been watching Season 3-7 of Gilmore Girls non stop for almost 6 years.  A week has not passed when I have not watched an episode, in consecutive order of course.  Why Seasons 3-7? Well when I went to buy my very first season, Season 1 was not there.  Season 3 was though!  Again, Im a freak and an extremely lucky girl that my husband does not kick me out.

Now, Im onto a new TV show.  Parenthood.  I have watched almost 2 full seasons in about 3 days.  Yikes.  Is it wise to share your character flaws? Well, maybe… I guess Im just hoping Im not the only one!! Tell me in the comments so I can feel better about myself… And, as usual on Fridays here are this weeks Highs and Lows!

Highs:

  • New amazing TV shows.  LOVE Parenthood.
  • Olympics!! China is kicking our butts, but its okay.
  • Lots of walks this week with Jared.  They are one of my favorite things.
  • Brian and Jen are getting hitched tomorrow!

Lows:

  • Duncan is continuing to have hairballs.  Time to change the food and start brushing him!
  • Our AC went out earlier this week.  Totally a first world problem but its amazing what a 6-7 degree difference makes!

You are NOT alone!! I obsessively watch the movie Thor when I am sewing! I am convinced that Thor’s mighty hammer is the source of my productiveness when I am trying to get several sewing projects done, and fully admit to having watched it 7 times in one weekend while working!

ABC family dramas are my downfall.. especially when they’re ALL on netflix so I can watch them for days with no commercials!!

Haha! I obsessively watch reruns of Reba on Lifetime even though I’ve seen every single episode a ton of times. I also might be too old to watch ABC Family but I’m obsessed with it!!!!!!

OMG I’m OBSESSED with Parenthood! I started watching it this winter and plowed through all three seasons in a matter of weeks! I can’t wait for season 4 to start!

That makes me feel better – I had never seen Friends before, but when I went to Venezuela for a year one of my roommates had all the seasons, so I obviously went through all of them. Since then I watched all ten seasons again and now I’m on my third run-through. I’m afraid they’re going to start getting old soon, but there’s no comparison to how down-to-earth each episode is! I do want to start watching Gilmore Girls though…

Lauryn, there is something you can get at the pet store for hair balls. We had a Himalayan cat. He was beautiful, show quality, but bashful! I got something that came in a tube and was about like jelly that I would put on my finger and he would lick it off. It helped with the hairballs, but did not totally get rid of them!

I love love LOVE Gilmore Girls! And I thought I was the only one (almost)! I could watch that show day in and day out if I didn’t have so many things that needs to be done, haha.

I cry at every episode of Parenthood. EVERY. EPISODE. I can’t help it. Also, I’m a sucker for all things tv. Will hates how I can become so glued to the tv. I’m working on it (sord of).
