This week I have been super inspired by another photographer who seems to be doing all the things I want to be doing with normal life. Going to bed on time, getting up early, reading my Bible early, exercising, etc… And so recently I sat down and wrote out my “ideal work day.” A schedule of how I would like M-F to go, 90% of the time. I know things change and life cant be the same everyday, so thats why I say 90%. Once I feel like its more established in my life, I will share it here. No need to share if its not working!
I think the things that have been working really well for me so far, are having true blue Office Hours, and taking Social Media Apps and Work Email off my phone. Now I am answering emails twice a day, once in the morning and once at the end of the day. And, since I dont have work email on my phone anymore Im not tempted to check it round the clock. Taking Social Media off my phone has been pretty rough, as I was looking at it constantly. Just opening one app after the other over and over again. What a waste of time, right?! I also have been trying to get up earlier and earlier every day. This week went pretty well, except for this morning. I was zonked out and woke up laaaaaate.
I blame it on sleep debt, while Jared blames it on the fact that I didn’t go to bed on time. Tom-a-to, to-mah-to.
