Color Me Graphic: Champagne Popsicle Cocktail

by Lauryn on August 9, 2011 in Handmade Weddings

Handmade Weddings are back!  Phew!   And this one is soooo yum!

This week is our food week, and really, its not food.  But-it will not disappoint! I was inspired by this image on Pinterest, and I threw all other plans out the window because I thought it was so perfect.  Cost for this project will depend on the “quality” of ingredients you choose to use.  I bought $8 Andre, Kroger brand all fruit popsicles and our wine glasses cost $1 a pop from IKEA.  But, it you used really nice champagne, Edy’s brand fruit pops, and legit wine glasses the cost will go up exponentially.  All I will say about my cheap-o cocktail was that is was GOOOOOOEWD.  Here we go!

Assemble your materials.  Although, you would probably be instructing one of the catering staff to assemble the materials and ingredients.

  • Champagne
  • Box of All Fruit popsicles, I got strawberry and melon. (they match our colors!!)
  • Wine glasses
Open the popsicles and place in wine glasses.  Doesn’t matter if its a red wine glass or white, it should fit.  Pour champagne over popsicle filled wine glasses.  One bottle was enough for about 6 wine glasses.  Although, you definitely could add more.

Two fun ways to enjoy these guys… 1.) Dip popsicle in champagne and lick popsicle.  Or, 2.) Let popsicle completely melt into champagne and drink fruity infused champagne.  Either way is acceptable and encouraged.   Each cocktail was about $3.00.

One more project with Color Me Graphic and then onto the next!  I am really excited for it.  If you follow me on Pinterest, you will be able to see a peek!
