Here’s A Peek!
January 31, 2010Spring.
January 28, 2010Our friends Lacy and John gave us this lemon tree. They also gave us a small orange tree. They have twins and don’t really have room for them in their home, the plants that is. Lacy knows I love plants and so now we have two beautiful trees to care for. This bloom popped out of the lemon tree a day or so ago. It smells divine. So divine that I wish you could stick your nose up to the screen and smell it. You would have a nose print on your screen it smells that good. It’s wonderful for me to see this little bloom, in the dead of winter in Virginia. I can’t wait for spring and I am determined to turn that bloom into a real live lemon.
Mmhmm…
January 27, 2010So I have borrowed these guys for the week. I cant wait to try out the big one! It’s super heavy! I think every photographer I keep up with has said, “DO NOT do your first wedding alone.” Well I actually couldn’t help it this time. I have my first wedding this weekend!! AH! And to top it off its with one of my favorite families from our Church body. They are wonderful and I will tell you more about them next week. Either way the wedding was planned for June 5th, my wedding anniversary! However the Groom’s father is not well and they wanted to make sure he was able to see his son be married. I can’t wait to be apart of it.
See you soon Kelli and Mike!

January 26, 2010iMac…pretty sweet.
January 25, 2010I have been thinking for a LOOOONG time about getting a new computer. The one my dad and stepmom purchased for me for college has been great…but that was almost 5 years ago. Which is a pretty long life for a laptop. I have been thinking…should I get a new fancy loaded mac, or a better camera body. And who would I ask but my not so secret photography crush, Jose Villa? Well, I did ask him. He wrote me back within minutes and I squealed so loud, Jared thought there was something wrong with me. Either way, Jared and Jose (yeah I called him by his first name. love him.) both thought the new computer was a better choice right now. So after worship one night we ran over to the apple store and walked out with this little guy. Its the 21 in iMac. I saw the 27in and could NOT imagine having something so enormous. It really is big. You should go to the Apple Store to see it in person. ITS GIANT.
I have to say that macs are amazing. Its so fast!! And all of my images look ten times better on here. I feel so fancy.
Comfort.

January 22, 2010Welcome!
January 4, 2010This is my first entry on my new fancy blog! This is where Lauryn Galloway Photography will be posting all images and letting the world know what is going on! Thank you so much for visiting, check back often because I like to post often!
I need to say a big thanks to several people for getting this going for me!
First and foremost, my lovely Aunt Patti who did all my graphic design. She put up with my many emails that said…”a little to the left. And a paler pink. And…” She was gracious and wonderful. I am eternally thankful for her work on this and everything else she helps me with in daily life. I love you!
To my husband Jared. He also had to put up with me! I love you more everyday.
Thank you to Tofurious Blog Themes for being affordable and pretty simple!
To WordPress… thank you for telling me that installation would only take me 5 minutes. Your famous 5 minute installation. After three days of working on you, I was sobbing to Jared. Either I am computer illiterate or you lied. I have my opinion.
To Bluehost. For answering all of my silly questions and then just doing it for me when I didn’t understand.
To Katelyn James. For truly inspiring me and being our amazing wedding photographer.
And finally to Danella. She put my entire blog together within a few emails and a hour or two later. She is fantastic, answering all my questions and adding details that I never would have thought of. Thank you.
Here is something to look forward to within a day or so…she’s a cutie
